It is likely that the commentary covered more than one tractate, probably commenting only on the aggadic excerpts; this would also explain the contracted presentation of the Talmud text, omitting the halakhic content.; Talmudic text is presented in enlarged and squared characters, the commentary is in a Sephardic cursive hand; catchwords at end of each verso.; The essay is written in second person, a style common among the early Cabbalists, for example: ואחר שכבר ידעת ההפרש.; The first article, covering fol. 1 and most of fol. 2a, is on the passage in Berakhot 3a ll. 10-16 (the text does not appear in the fragment). The author portrays the divisions of the night that appear in this passage, in accordance to the respective interaction of the appropriate Sefirot.; Towards the end of the article the Zohar is cited.
